COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Under the leadership of Rick Niello, many of The Niello Company Officers and General Managers have served as members of civic organizations, including the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement, The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center Advisory Council, Planned Parenthood, Sacramento Children’s Museum, Sutter Hospital Foundation, Family Services Agency, Stanford Home for Children, and many others.

Providing distinctive automotive products and exceptional service, while treating customers and employees with unyielding integrity, has created a lasting relationship between The Niello Company and its customer base. Community events held and sponsored by The Niello Company are unique, never duplicated and always strategic, from new product launches to driving events to charity sponsorships. Events like these strengthen the relationship made with the customer and reinforce quality of brand, thus resulting in economic upturn.

CHARITY SPONSORSHIP

By staying true to core values, The Niello Company supports over 100 charities in the Northern California area, seeking those charities that have direct and immediate impacts in the community, with no cause too small or initiative too large. Expansion on community reach is a major focus, resulting in over 130 events held throughout the year.

For more than 10 years, The Niello Company has hosted the Niello Volkswagen Ranch Run, a car show and cruise to benefit Ride to Walk, providing innovative therapeutic horseback riding to children with neurological disabilities. In 2015 alone, $30,000 was donated to the charity.

The annual Niello Audi Quattro Cup, a golf tournament, donated $37,000 in 2015 to a sole beneficiary, Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, responsible for providing quality care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs.

The Niello Company supports Wind Youth Services, a safe haven for homeless teenagers to seek refuge and receive survival services, helping to develop necessary skills to break the cycle of homelessness.

Going on 18 years, The Niello Company has sponsored the Man/Woman of the Year fundraising campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, responsible for generating hundreds of thousands of dollars toward the research to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.

The Niello Company supports Crocker Art Museum, promoting awareness and enthusiasm for human experience through art and offering a variety of educational programs to the public. Rick’s wife, Teresa, is a member of the Board of Directors.

The Concours Foundation, sponsored by The Niello Company, provides funding to Sacramento area charities and is currently supporting Every 15 Minutes, a charity dedicated to educating young drivers about the dangers of drinking and driving. This annual event showcases some of the rarest and most distinguished motorcars in the country while benefiting local charities.

Other contributions in the local community include: People Reaching Out, Mustard Seed School, California Musical Theatre, Sacramento Tree Foundation to promote reforestation, Race for the Arts, Sacramento Children’s Home, Sacramento Youth Symphony, Child Abuse Prevention Center of Sacramento, St. Hope, Food for Families, and the Health Education Council.

Outside of the local community, The Niello Company proudly supports the following nationally-recognized programs, bringing the best possible support to: The Salvation Army, The American Heart Association, The American Lung Association, American Red Cross, Susan G. Komen to benefit breast cancer, March of Dimes, Autism Speaks, American Cancer Society, and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Aside from charity events, The Niello Company hosts an average of 130 events throughout the year for its local community and clientele, including catered vehicle release and unveiling parties, service clinics to better familiarize customers with their vehicles, and special driving events, such as racetrack and off-road driving courses.

Some of the most recent driving events include the Land Rover Off-road Experience, Concours Raduno, and the Maserati Ride & Drive.

Other recent events include an exclusive Spectre prescreening for Jaguar and Land Rover customers, a walk-around event to experience the all new Volvo XC90, a MINI Clubman Sneak Peek, a BMW 7 series launch, and the Sacramento International Auto Show.

CIVIC RECOGNITION

Salvation Army “Spirit of Caring” Award (2012). Billed as the largest event of its kind in California’s capital region, The Salvation Army hosts an Annual Community Luncheon. The event is an opportunity to showcase Salvation Army programs, give a fiscal and service report to the community, and thank and recognize the individuals and companies who, through community service activities or programs, have shown a long history of helping people in need. In 2013, The Niello Company was honored with the distinguished “Spirit of Caring” award, honoring The Niello Company for its philanthropic efforts and support of the Sacramento Chapter of the Salvation Army.

Business Partner of the Year award from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, in recognition of excellence in dedication and commitment to advance the society’s mission (2008).

Business Hall of Fame award from the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce (2007). Hosted first in 1895, the Annual Dinner & Business Awards is the Metro Chamber’s longest running event. Since then, members have come together annually to commemorate the outgoing chair of the board of directors and welcome their successor. This celebration of professional success includes a number of distinguished honors and awards including Sacramentan of the Year, Businessman and Businesswoman of the Year and the Business Hall of Fame Awards.

ACCOLADES

In 2015, four Niello dealerships were named in the 100 Best Dealerships to Work For in the United States and Canada, by Automotive News. This honor includes Niello MINI, Niello Porsche, Maserati of Sacramento, and Niello FIAT.

The Niello Company was voted Best Place to Work (Large Company) by The Sacramento Business Journal, and voted the Best Place to Buy a Car by readers of Sacramento Magazine every year the award has been offered.

The Niello Concours at Serrano earned The Niello Company the Ultimate Driving Tour Driver’s Choice Award (2006), the Gala Award (2008), and the Tour Award (2009). The Niello Concours at the Capitol earned The Niello Company the Participant’s Choice Award (2011).

Niello Audi is recognized as Sacramento Valley’s #1 Volume Audi Dealer for Best Selection of New and Certified Pre-Owned Audi models (2015).

Niello Porsche received the Fusion award from Porsche Financial Services for Top Penetration Dealer (2001, 2002, and 2003), and is the longest-owned Porsche dealership in the country (1963-present).

Six service employees at Niello Volkswagen received the Guild Award, the highest mark from Volkswagen (2012) for customer service and satisfaction, and the Assistant Shop Foreman received the Volkswagen Technician Master Ring. Niello Volkswagen is the recipient of the DAS Star Award (2012).

Niello Infiniti is the #1 Certified Infiniti Dealer in Northern California for two years in a row (2014,2015).

Niello Acura has been recognized as the #1 Certified Pre-Owned dealership in a zone consisting of 58 dealers in the Western United States, including Washington, Oregon, Hawaii and California for the last four years (2012-2015).

Maserati of Sacramento is the #1 dealership in the nation for Certified Pre-owned, currently surpassing Maserati of North America projections for both new and pre-owned vehicles.
